DP chief Lee Jae-myung calls to end politics driven by hate

Democratic Party (DP) leader Lee Jae-myung said it is time to put an end to politics driven by hatred and attempts to harm opponents as he was discharged from the hospital Wednesday, eight days after his stabbing in the neck.  

도지사 이재명은 그의 목을 찌르던 사건이 8일 후인, 수요일에 병원에서 퇴원하면서 증오되고 해치는 시도로 내몰았던 정치를 마무리할 시간이라고 말했다. 

이재명 민주당 대표가 목을 찌른 지 8일 만인 수요일 퇴원하면서 증오와 상대편에 대한 해악 시도로 인한 정치에 종지부를 찍을 때가 됐다고 말했습니다.  
 

 

“I sincerely hope that this incident, which shocked everyone, will become a milestone to end the politics of hatred and confrontation and restore proper politics of mutual respect and coexistence,” Lee told reporters upon his discharge at around 11 a.m.

 

" 나는 진심으로 모든 사람에게 충격을 주었을 이 사건이 혐오정치와 대립을 끝내고 상호존중과 공존의 제대로된 정치를 회복하는 획기적 사건이 될 것이라고 희망한다. " 이재명은 약 11시에 퇴원하며 기자에게 말했다

"저는 모두에게 충격을 준 이 사건이 증오와 대립의 정치를 끝내고 상호 존중과 공존의 올바른 정치를 회복하는 이정표가 되기를 진심으로 바랍니다,"라고 이 대통령은 오전 11시경 퇴원하면서 기자들에게 말했습니다.
 

Lee was greeted by cheers from his supporters shouting his name as he left Seoul National University Hospital in central Seoul, where he had received treatment for the past week. He was spotted with a bandage covering his neck wound.

이재명은 Seoul National University Hospita를 떠나면서  그의 지원자들들이 그의 이름을 외치며 지지자들에게 환영받았다. 그는 그의 목 상처를 덮는 밴드를 붙였다.

He first apologized for causing concern to the public and thanked them for their support.

“With this life that has been saved by the people, I will live the rest of my life only for the people,” Lee said to a crowd of supporters and reporters who had been awaiting his discharge.

" 대중들에 의해서 살아지는 삶을 살면서, 나는 내 여생을 대중들을 위해 살아갈 것이다" 라고 이재명은 지지자들의 군중들과 자신의 퇴원을 기다리고 있던 기자에게 말했다.

전역을 기다리던 지지자들과 취재진에게 이 씨는 "국민이 구해준 이 생명으로 저는 오직 국민을 위해 남은 인생을 살 것입니다"라고 말했습니다.
 

 

 

“It is time to put an end to warlike politics, where one must kill and eliminate one's opponent,” Lee said.

반대편을 죽이거나 제거해야만하는 전쟁같은 정치를 끝낼 시간이다  라고 이재명은 말했다

이 대통령은 "상대를 죽이고 제거해야 하는 전쟁 같은 정치에 종지부를 찍을 때"라고 말했습니다.

He expressed hopes that “proper politics will be restored where we respect, acknowledge and compromise with each other.”

그는 " 우리가 서로를 존중하고 인지하고 타협하는 올바른 정치는 회복되어질 것이다" 라는 희망을 표출했다.

Lee added that he plans to “first reflect and work hard to return to the politics of living that creates hope.”

이재명은 "처음에는 반영하고 희망을 만드는 삶의 정책을 되돌려 놓도록 일을 열심히 한다"는 계획을 더했다.

이 대통령은 "희망을 만들어내는 살아있는 정치로 돌아가기 위해 먼저 반성하고 열심히 노력할 계획"이라고 덧붙였습니다
 

 

 

On Jan. 2, Lee was stabbed in his left neck with a knife by a 67-year-old man, identified only as Kim, during a visit to Busan.

6월 2일, 이재명은  부산을 방문하는 동안에 김씨 성으로만 알려지는 67살 남자에게 칼로 그의 왼쪽 목이 찔렸었다.

Lee, who sustained a 1.4-centimeter (0.55-inch) wound, was airlifted to Seoul and underwent surgery for a laceration in a vein in his neck at Seoul National University Hospital later that day.

 이재명은  Seoul National University Hospital 에서 1.4cm의 상처를 입은 서울로 이송되어졌고 목에난 상처로 찢어진 상처를 수술했다. 

1.4cm(0.55인치) 크기의 상처를 입은 이 씨는 이날 오후 서울로 공수돼 서울대병원에서 목 정맥에 열상을 입어 수술을 받았습니다.

 

 

 

The DP and Lee faced backlash in Busan after he was transferred from Pusan National University Hospital to Seoul via a two-hour helicopter ride.DP와 이재명은 그가 2시간동안 헬리콥터를 통해 Pusan National University Hospital 에서 Seoul 이송된 후에 부산에서 반발을 겪었다

On Monday, doctors filed a complaint with the prosecutor's office against the DP, alleging obstruction of business for both Pusan National University Hospital and Seoul National University Hospital.

 월요일에 의사는 Pusan National University Hospital 과 Seoul National University Hospital의 사업의 방해를 주장하면서 DP에 대적하는 검찰관의 사무실에 불평을 제기했다.

Since last week, 14 doctors' advocacy groups released statements condemning the DP for allegedly abusing its political power and undermining the regional medical system.

지난주이후로, 14명의 옹호그룹은 권력의 남용하는 것과 지역 의료체계를 약화시킨것에 대해 주장하며 DP를 비난하는 말을 전했다 .

지난 주부터 14개 의사 옹호 단체들은 민주당이 정치적 권력을 남용하고 지역 의료 시스템을 훼손하고 있다고 비난하는 성명을 발표했습니다.
